School Activities 2019-2020
Here are some of the activities that took place during the 2019-2020 school year.
Crumlin Children’s Hospital Fundraiser
September 2019
In September Katelyn’s mum Yvonne Madden volunteered to abseil from the top of Croke Park to raise money for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
The Friday before she did it we all wore our favorite Jerseys to school and brought in €1 or €2 to help raise money. We raised quite a bit of money that day, and it all went towards a great cause.

Hallowe'en Party
October 2019
We had our annual Hallowe'en party last Friday and it was a great success! Everyone dressed up and we played games - ducking for apples and money, grab the apple, musical chairs and spooky statues. 3rd and 4th Class treated everyone to a performance of their Hallowe'en songs with Mrs. Madigan. Of course we had lots of sweets - thank you to Jean and Mary from our Parents Association for providing the treats and helping make our party so special. Also a big thank you to Ellen's mum Martina who made some tasty Báirín Breac for us all. Happy Hallowe'en!

School Play
December 2019
On the 18th of December 2019 we had our school play. The Infant room performed the “Innkeepers breakfast”. 2nd to 6th class performed “Cinderella Rockerfella”. We performed them both in the morning and in the evening.
Both plays were a great success. We also had a raffle at the play where lots of goodies were won.

Grandparent's Day
29/01/20
Grandparent's Day took place on Wednesday 29th January as part of Catholic School's Week. Fr. Kelly celebrated mass with us and a huge number of Grandparents joined us from far and wide for the celebration. It was a very enjoyable morning for all.

Aldi Play Rugby Sticker Competition
This year we participated in the Aldi Play Rugby sticker competition. A big thank you to all the families who collected stickers for our poster. Fingers crossed our entry is a winner!
6th Class Graduation
June 2020
At the end of the school year, we marked the 6th Class graduation with an outdoor ceremony. We were blessed with good weather so each child and their family could sit out on the grass. Fr. Donnelly and Sr. Elizabeth led us in a short prayer service and we heard some wonderful poems and compositions from the pupils themselves. It was a lovely to be able to mark the end of their time here in Ballinagare and gather together before they begin their next chapter. Good luck to all 6th Class pupils in the future.
